Second Grade Liturgy and May Crowning

on

MAA’s second-graders led our community in prayer last week for our annual First Communion Liturgy. This year, the annual event was made even more special by the fact that it fell on Ascension Thursday. Father Peter Folan, S.J. from Boston College celebrated Mass for students, faculty, and MAA families. Dressed in their best, MAA’s second-graders did the Mass readings, sang, and gave the prayers of the faithful.

Following Mass, a sixth-grader crowned a statue of Mary for our May Crowning to honor the Blessed Mother, one of our oldest traditions.

This day would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our second-grade teachers, Ms. Wolford, and Ms. Santiano and our music teacher, Mrs. Sarah Moore. They did an incredible job planning the liturgy and preparing their students. Thank you!
